I need to connect to my SQL Server Database in Visual Studio 2008 for learning to design an interface. I need to make sure Office SharePoint Server 2007 SDK works with Visual Studio, that I've followed the directions correctly in the Registry, and that the IIS Manager, etc. is configured properly. I need Visual Studio to create a compact SQL Server Database, & because I had trouble with this before, I was advised to "uninstall everything in the Control Panel that looked like it had anything to do with servers or databases." So I did this & have been taking lots of notes, but I haven’t reinstalled Visual Studio yet because the instructions I find on the web are a little confusing. I'll need the person I hire to connect with my 64-bit laptop to look everything over, correspond with me live to answer questions, & perhaps fix things. I hope to get it all done this weekend, even if we have to be in touch a few different times.
