Redesign an existing website

I currently have an active website. It is looking a bit tired and needs modernizing. I am looking for a great sexy new look. I have just had my logo redesigned and am awaiting final drafts, but an example of that logo can be found in the attached document along with an example of a website page that I like the look of.

The website promotes a product called FastHelp that is a documentation tool, aimed mainly at programmers. It is important to understand my target audience. They are very techy, with very little spare time and want to know if they have arrived at the right website very quickly.

I want the website to be very modern, very sexy, very corporate in styling.
I naturally want it ranked high in the search engines, so SEO is very important.

Some of my competitors are www.helpandmanual.com, http://www.doctohelp.com, http://www.drexplain.com, http://www.madcapsoftware.com/products/flare/overview.aspx.
Of all these sites, madcapsoftware have the sexiest site in my opinion.

The website must work on all browsers.

I do not want a joomla/drupal/wordpress site.

I currently host a unix box, so I would like it to run comfortably on that.

It can be php or another technology.

I would like a search option.

I would like a translation option. Please see more info on this at the end of this document.

I want the same pages as I currently have in the existing site with the content transferred over, but styled for the new site.

I want a bulletin board Forum to be styled as per the rest of the website.
Initially the Forum will only be available to members via direct link.
Eventually I will make it open to the public, so I would like a menu option for it, but commented out (hidden) for the moment. I will enable it myself in the future.

I am a programmer so I am happy to make modifications to the site later.

I am open to all ideas.
