Description
Experience Level: Entry
I am looking to work with a number of paid Reassurance Call Volunteers.
The Job
Our clients are individuals who live alone and may be frail of health, elderly or both. Your job will be to place a telephone call to our clients to check on them. We call this “a friendly telephone visit” You will be required to be warm, friendly and engaging. You are not required to be a health or social work professional.
The prerequisites
You will need to have a telephone that makes free calls to UK landlines, and internet access.
Remuneration.
The pay is £4 per hour to make 4 calls. You will be required to undergo some learning in your own time (ie unpaid at an hourly rate). You will not be required to pay for the training. Please do not bid for more or for less.
Scheduling
You will be expected to pick up 5 hours per week minimum, the same hour every day, for example 12noon-1pm Monday to Friday. You will have to be flexible as to when you start – December maybe, January or February.
Prospects
I am at the minute looking for two people to work with me to get this up to speed. Probably initially you will be working one hour a day Monday to Friday. If later you can commit to more that would be fine, but if one (or two or three) hours is all you want that’s okay too. In time I expect you can have as many hours as you want, up to 35 hours per week.
This is a start up company which has the potential to grow and provide you with a steady level of income.
