Realistic 3D character design, fantasy style character

I require a 3D character to be designed in a fantasy style to feature on a book cover. A full description will be provided on what is required from the text. It will be needed in high resolution format and MUST be lifelike/realistic, NOT a cartoon or semi-realistic style.

Initial description of character: a demon type creature with a black exoskelton that has spikes running along it - sort of like a cross between a man and a trilobite. It also has a golden symbol upon its forehead: a circlet coiled with a worm.
