PSD to Parallax Scrolling Wordpress Theme - Creation & Installation

Company Website Project Brief

Project Scope:
I would like you to firstly create and then install a Parallax scrolling Worpdress theme from the Psd files that I will provide. The Theme / Site, will consist of 5 pages - Home, Services, Portfolio Pages 1 & 2 and a Contact page.

A Pdf is attached to this Proposal, containing visuals of all the pages, how they should look, AND Site Instructions for every element of the Site. There is also a Demo version of the Site, which is viewable here: http://broad-main.com/creative-culture/ - This version is incomplete, as the previous Developer was unable to finish it, but this will give you a brief idea of what to expect in terms of delivery. Please go through this very carefully before applying.

The Theme / Site must contain the following:
• Parallax Scrolling
• Will also contain various scripting effects, such as AJAX loading effects and j-Query slideshows
• All Fonts must render as per the PSD design
• Responsive; Retina ready & Cross Browser compatible on both PC & MAC platforms (This is very important as I have a 21inch iMac Desktop)
• SEO friendly – I will provide all SEO content that is to be inserted
• Coded clearly so that other designers can also amend things further down the line if necessary

I will provide:
• A Demo version of the Site, which can be viewed here: http://broad-main.com/creative-culture/
• Layered, organised and clearly labelled Psd files
• All images, text and detailed instructions of how each Page and item on each page must behave and function
• All SEO content that is to be inserted
• Links to other Sites that will help demonstrate the functionality of certain items

You will then be required to:
• Take the Psd files and perform your magic on it so that it is turned into a Parallax Scrolling Wordpress theme
• Load and Install this theme onto a test server that I will provide so that we can test that the Theme / Site works and displays as per the instructions – Thus creating a fully functional Wordpress Site
• Load additional Plug – ins such as Yoast for SEO purposes
• Perform any changes to ensure the functions are performing as per the instructions

Additional Requirements:
Where necessary you may also have to extract things that you may need from the Psd file. For example: if you require an image of a certain size, that I have not provided, you will be asked to extract this from the Psd file. This will not take you more than a few seconds, as all images are in Smart Object form, so it will be easy to save out into the correct dimensions. This will not extend the Project in terms of time or cost.

If something does not display or render well, as a result of the design I have provided, I will provide you with a new design for that particular element. For example: if the font I have chosen does not render well, you will then have to insert a new font, of which I will provide.

The above, is to ensure that you are clearly aware, that in some instances, you may be required to go outside the scope of simply coding and perform a few additional functions.

Applicant Requirements:
All applicants must have experience in:
• Coding Parallax Scrolling Sites that work perfectly on all browsers on both PC & MAC platforms
• AJAX loading effects that are triggered by your mouse
• Coding J-query slideshows and High end effects in J-query
• Experience in properly rendering Fonts as per PSD design
• Know how to code modern design trends such as sticky and scrolling headers, light boxes and filter by options for Portfolio pages etc.
• Coding Responsive Sites – So that the Site can function on mobile devices etc.

If you do not know how to do any of these, please do not apply.

Application Procedure:
Applicants must adhere to the following Procedure:

• After studying the Pdf docs etc, applicants must submit a URL to a Portfolio of work that they have done, as I will need to see if you have the experience to complete this Project.

• This Project will be open for Applications for 7 days, at the end of this time; I will short list candidates. They will then be invited to a Google Drive folder to re-confirm that they are able to deliver the required functionality.

• If you have been shortlisted and have the necessary ability, once you have gone through the Google Drive folder, I will make a final decision, and then we can negotiate a time frame, depending on how busy you are and how much time the Site will take to code.

• If you have not been shortlisted, I apologise in advance, as I will not be able to get back to you, to let you know that you have been unsuccessful. So if you have not heard back from me when this Project closes, please consider your application unsuccessful.
