Proofread a book manuscript (translated work)

Small, independent publishing house (based outside the UK) seeking proofreader/editor to work through a 500-page word book manuscript (approx 149000 total word count). Native English speakers only, please (British English).

This is a newly-translated piece of work (fiction), and this job would only suit someone who loves literature. The ideal candidate would be interested in philosophy and French Renaissance.This work requires an eye for detail and a love for languages (including modern and classical such as Latin). /desired - not a requirement/

We are are rare breed of dedicated 'hobby' publishers who do this for the love of European culture & history, the Arts and literature (not just a commercial business) and we would prefer to work with individuals on the same wavelength.
Further colloboration may be possible.


We prefer word 'track changes' incl. comments as opposed to other proofreading methods.

Pls note: This oeuvre could be described as 'burlesque' and contains some language that may be seen as offensive.
