I need a simple program created that will allow a signal from 6 different identical mechanical switches with differing numerical values to communicate with an Acer w510-166 tablet that I am using for a touchscreen. These mechanical switches are very simple and can be used with low voltage 9v dc or no voltage at all to send the signal to the computer like a key on the keyboard communicating with the computer.
The six different signals have a numerical value of 1-6 and will be entered in a sequence. I will want the sequence to start from the touchscreen. Once the sequence is activated from the touch screen I want switch #1 to be given 30 seconds to send it's numerical value of 1 to the computer. The computer must not be able to accept signals from any other switch during this 30 seconds. If the signal is sent then the computer enters the value of 1. If no signal is sent from switch #1 during the 30 second period then no value is recorded. Following the first 30 seconds switch #2 is allowed to send a signal for 30 seconds. If switch #2 sends its signal then a value of 2 is recorded and again if no signal is sent then no value is recorded. This sequence continues with all 6 switches. If all switches send their signal to the computer over the 3 minute total of all 6 sequences then a total of 21 should show on the display. If only the 1,2 and 4 switch send their signals then a total of 7 would show and so forth.
