Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
The project consists in creating the win32/win64 program (iestart.exe) in C, that has no dependency on the dot.net framework and that does the following:
(1) Embeds IE (only) as a COM/ActiveX control in a window. This is the only user interface part of the program.
(2) Monitors/modifies the IE http GET/POST traffic as in (http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/157329/Http-Monitor-for-Webbrowser-Control)
(3) Accepts commandline options without starting up with a black console in the background
(4) For each http GET/POST request, starts a test backend.exe program, opens a bidirectional pipe to it, populates the request according to the CGI standard over the pipe, and returns the response to IE. Also handles ajax requests properly.
The project will be programmed in 4 or 5 small steps which each has its own test scenario.
