PHP assistance / tutoring. Web Design

I am a student and have been assigned the task of creating my first PHP driven web application. I know exactly what I require and have designed the appearance of all pages, however I am a novice at coding and would like some one on one tutoring sessions/ general assistance ( these can be skype sessions) in completing the project.
I live in the Leeds area so anyone local would be great, if this is not possible obviously we can opt for skype.

My idea is based around the name 'SinceYouWereBorn' basically I have a form where the user fills in their name and date of birth and presses go. Results (facts) relevant to their year of birth i.e. who had a number one single and then displayed and the user can scroll through them. I have already made a working form and relevant results appear but however need some help making it look 'pretty' and generally finishing the application with search functions/a log in system etc.
