I run the UKs most popular pet classifieds website which receives over 2 million visitors every month. The website is currently in the process of being redesigned and I am initially after a writer who has a knowledge of pets to write breed guides (information pages) for all breeds of cats, dogs, rabbits, reptiles. This totals over 200 breed guides initially, so is quite a big project. We do have existing breed guides, but where written by myself so would like new ones professionally written and more in depth.

For each breed guide, i.e. "German Shepherd" dog, I would want the following sections; "Breed Introduction" (Short Introduction to the breed); "Breed History" (History of the breed and its origins); "Appearance" (What the breed looks like, its colours, size, breed standards, standard colours etc...); "Characteristics/temperament" (The temperament of the breed and its characteristics); "Health & Care" (Any health problems and general care).

Obviously all the information needed is easy to find on the internet in various places, especially breed specific societys and websites. But needs to be written in own words.

Ideally I would someone who has previous experience of writing about pets and has knowledge of pets.

I would like the breed guides uploading directly to my new website by the writer. I will make this easy to do. It will basically be a simple copy and paste from your finished written guides.

There is possible ongoing work after this available, as I am after someone to write weekly articles on pet subjects for the website.
