Perl programmer

We are in the process of upgrading a reservations engine currently used for multiple hotels.  The engine allows the ability for visitors to check availability, view room types and rates, book room, select add-ons such as tours or gift baskets (managed by hotel admin), complete reservation.

The system will reduce the inventory once reserved, email the confirmation, collect credit card numbers and interface with PCI Compliant Server.  Reports such as summary and detailed sales reports by date of arrival or date of booking will also be available through hotel admin.  Widget is available on home page of site; and is also available for Facebook pages allowing visitors to click to check availability.

Challenge is currently to update look and feel of admin (already designed) as well as interface with hotel PMSs (Property Management Systems).  It requires working with specs from PMS as well as with on-property PERL programmer and designer.

Existing system must be reprogrammed as many features have been added since it was first created and it has been decided that it will be best for us to begin again from scratch in order to best interface with PMSs.

All inventory and rate data entered by individual hotel admins are imported into "multi-res" where all hotels' inventory and rates will appear when visitors check for available hotels on several portal web sites.  Once "book now" button is clicked, visitor completes reservation on hotel web site.   

Reservations completed on web site are tracked and show up within reports based on source of link (if reserved through a portal's multi-res).
