Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are an architectural company.
we have an excel spreadsheet that tracks our projects, which works well but is time consuming as the nature of our work changes all the time it keeps being revised.
What we need is a very clever piece of software (possibly using excel) that is based on a calendar year, with our 6 staff members shown, we have circa 10 to 15 different types of work that take various amounts of time to complete, please see below -
Survey - 1 day on site, 2 days to draw (office based)
Model - 2 days to complete (office based)
Design - 10 days to complete (office based)
CD Set - 2 days to complete
etc
etc
So the idea would be that we would 'drag' a new project to a person allocated to work on it, and the time taken to do this would automatically be greyed out so nothing else could be allocated to them. When they finish the work they simply log on and say its complete. Perhaps it could also create reports showing projects completed per week etc?
Apologies for a very broad brief but we do not know how this is going to work and are looking for someone with some design and planning skill to produce a template for us.
On nomination we will share the existing excel tracker with you so that you can get a feel for what we are looking for.
Regards,
Richard
