OCR & API; SCAN AND EMAIL APPLICATION

Need an application either to develop which basically allows the scan or taking pictures of receipts/involves being translated and be able to import into excel and bookkeeping software such as wave accounting.

Would also like to see if this could then potentially be developed for smart phones.

Similar applications out there include shoeboxed.com, this although looks good on face value doesn’t work in the UK.. So this is the minimum quality I will be looking for. Keebo is another good example please see http://www.keebo.com/demo.aspx to understand my needs.

I am an accountant and want to help my clients enabling them to send in their receipts which in turn are automatically posted onto a bookkeeping system and on an excel document.

Hoping to integrate this into my website which is currently under development.

To summarise:

(1) Take scanned pictures of receipts and retrieve the details i.e. name, amount, VAT amount and be able to export to excel and bookkeeping software such as wave

(2) Smart phone application

(3) To allow this to be integrated into the website

(4) To be cloud based am guessing as the size of these files would begin to get large; advice obviously needed here.
