Need help installing social plugins on my site

I need some help installing the Facebook recent activity feed, like buttons and twitter feeds on my site. I was somewhat successful installing the activity feed on my site but realized that the activity it is showing is not current and I can't seem to figure out what I did wrong. I would also like to add in the twitter feed also and discuss if it is possible to have a like button put on each page. I have an ecommerce site and would like to give people the opportunity to like a product.
