Hi,
I need a Will writing for myself - this should be a very simple case as I have no children and am not married. I have limited cash funds, no property and I want everything to be left to one person.
The slightly confusing part is that I run my own rapidly growing business (I'm an accountant - sole practitioner) and I want my will to state what will happen to the business if I die e.g. I'm setting up a partnership with a local firm of accountants so if I die then they take over the running of my business for a set management fee with all profits going to my estate. I then want a process in place for the sale of the business either to the firm who will manage it or to another firm.
I will have a legally binding agreement drawn up between myself and the firm of accountants I choose (please see the attached files which are templates of such agreements) my will just needs to include a summary of this process to ensure that it is put into practice and no one from my family can challenge it stating the business should come to them.
I hope this is not too confusing - more than happy to discuss this in more detail.
To summarise - I die, people want to know what happens to the business, the will has a section stating "The business will be governed by Continuity Document dated ......."
Then all profits from the business after my death and before the sale go to one person (same person who receives all my other personal belonging) and when the sale takes place the funds go to my estate and are distributed to the same person again.
