Would you be interested in making some alterations to a door audio entry phone system? I have a customer who needs an intercom product that they want fitted for a trial at the end of October. Intercom to be adapted is
http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/SMDCA1.html.
I need a simple intercom, i.e. microphone & speaker connected to microphone & speaker. The product is to be used on either side of a perspex screen. The people talking to each other will see each other but only communicate via intercom.
I'd need you to remove the important parts (PCBs, speaker, mics) from plastic casings, remove or close off any un-necessary elements, e.g. door entry button. They may also have to be adapted in order to remain \"always on\" instead of activated on pressing button or lifting of handset. The speaker and mike would also need to be setup so they could be placed at least 1m apart from each other.
Having read and considered this do you believe the door entry intercom would be able to handle this application bearing in mind noise reduction, echo cancellation and time delay? Do you have a better alternative? Is this achievable by end of Oct?
