Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: Not sure
I'm casting natural-sounding native Canadian French voices as part of a larger conversational AI project, and I'm specifically not looking for polished voiceover artists. I want people who sound like real people. The recording is in Canadian French and English.
Men and women are both welcome, of any adult age. Canadian French has to be your native language, spoken the way you actually speak it, not a learned or approximated accent. What matters is that you sound like a genuine person having a normal conversation. A bit of acting or improv is a bonus, but not required.
The session is remote, two hours at most: about 20 minutes of scripted lines plus natural, unscripted conversation, with a producer on the call.
THE PAY IS YEARLY AND ONGOING, NOT A ONE-OFF. The US$1,200 budget is an annual licence fee: you are paid US$1,200 every year the voice stays in use, for as long as it stays in use. On top of that there is a fixed US$200 session fee, paid after you record.
One requirement: you must have a decent microphone and a quiet, echo-free recording space. No voiceover experience needed, but clean audio is essential.
To apply, submit a proposal with a short, clear recording of yourself just talking naturally in Canadian French, attached or linked. No script needed: talk about your day, a hobby, anything. Please don't say your name in the recording.
This is AI voice work. Anyone selected signs a clear, non-exclusive annual licence that strictly prohibits deepfakes, impersonation or any unauthorised use. Your voice will never be used without your prior written consent.
