Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need a narrator for a simple mobile-phone game. Looking for a female voice and fairy-tale style. Game is tongue-in-cheek. Less than a page of dialogue.
I've included a very rough mock up as a sample below (script subject to minor changes).
Here's the tentative script:
INTRO
There once was a village called… “Village”, where the people led simple lives, all working as blacksmiths.
Everybody was happy with their lot in life, buying and selling horse shoes et cetera.
Everybody, that is, except “Smoother”.
Smoother was obsessed with the head-blacksmith’s daughter. Surely she would love him, if only he were rich.
To that end, Smoother opened a casino.
A cloud of despair descended on Village, as its people fell victim to games of chance rigged in Smoother’s favour.
One day, a travelling witch came to Village. Taking pity on the people of Village, she decided to teach Smoother a lesson…
Waving her wand, or… whatever, she cast a spell on Smoother that saw him transform, ironically enough, into a coin!
To undo the spell, Smoother would have to roll down a great mountain and into a narrow coin slot, somehow learning a lesson in the process.
OUTRO
Smoother had done it!
With the curse lifted, he regained his original, human form.
The people of Village said there were no hard feelings – Smoother’s rolls had attracted tourists from across the land, providing a medium boost to the local economy.
Smoother knew though that he shouldn’t stay. He packed his bags and moved to San Francisco - the perfect place… for a casino.
