I have a basic dictionary of about 2500 Spanish words which I would like recorded. It is imperative that you are a native Spanish speaker from Spain and that you are between the ages of 18 to 30 so that the recordings fit our target market of students.
You will need to have excellent recording facilities and editing skills so that this can be done efficiently. We recently did a similar project for French in a recording studio and it took under 8 hours including editing.
Each word (for example 218 "el hombre" or 992 "el bonito" would need to be edited and saved as an individual mp3 file.
The words can be printed off as a word document so that each word has a number next to it.
As long as the words are read out sequentially then it is possible to do an automatic edit at the end of the job, meaning that each filename will be a number and that will correspond to the word, eg 218.mp3 and 992.mp3 for the above.
When we did it in a recording studio, the voice-over artist (for French) received a beep through the headphones every 5 seconds after which he said the word, then another beep and another word and so on. We did it in sessions of about 50 words.
The fixed price below must include all editing of the files (cutting out pauses before and after the word) as well as a couple of samples.
The audio must be read "naturally/conversationally" - we do not want someone who sounds like a robot! - but it must also be clear.
If you would like to put yourself forward for the job, please record as .mp3s the following words:
el hombre
la manzana
el ferrocarril
