Hi there, I have two MP3 files I need to professionally blend, including editing out background noise, and increasing / decreasing vocal volume to match the crescendos and diminuendos of the song. One is the musical 'backing track' and one is my vocals, sung whilst listening to the backing track through my headphones.
This is version 1, and within this posting, I request one further re-take if needed, depending on how good the outcome of version 1 is.
The original song is "St Peter's Gate" by Chris De Burgh. I have written and sung new lyrics on one of the audio files attached. If you feel that the quality of the 'backing track' of the original song could be improved, please feel free to download this from youtube or spotify, and start again! Listening to this will also give you an idea of how the song is sung professionally, and what I am essentially trying to replicate, but using completely different lyrics.
Within my vocals file is a lot of other noise that needs to be edited out. I did this whilst out on a walk, NOT in a recording studio. So there is: some footsteps, my coat scratching on the Lavelier mic, birdsong, possibly other noises that need to be removed. I would also like a bit of echo / reverb added to my vocals, partly as this suits the song, but also as the mic has recorded it quite 'crisply' and it needs softening a bit.
At one point in the song, my vocals drop down an octave (mistakenly), so this section may need a little extra volume to bring it through the backing track sufficiently.
The timing of the two will need aligning at the start, but should follow correctly thereafter. In the vocals file, the syllable / word LONE, in the first line (I was a-LONE in the fight), should align with the first chord of the backing track, which is approximately at 1.5 seconds in to it.
Please note, I am not selling this on, it is for my own recovery from addiction, therefore I am not concerned about any copyright issues.
If you have any questions, please come back to me. Please note I have had an issue in the past with uploading files to new workstreams, so if there is nothing attached, please respond and I will send on the 2nd email, which seems to have worked in the past.
Regards, Jeremy.
