A song editing down for a school play auditon

My daughter wants to sing ' i was meant to be yours' from Heathers for the school play audition but its too lond. They say 1 verse and a chorus, so we are guessing around 100 ish seconds. We have an idea of where to start (a bit further in) and a chunk in the middle to be edited out and to end a bit early. Thats should be ok. A bit of a beat to help her know when to start singing at the beginning, and if I cant find a radio edit the lead vocals might need to be quietened a little, especially the swears. SHe needs to have a go at practice on sunday eve. Is this achievable?
I havent bought the track yet so can take your advice of what format.
