I am looking for someone to modify a Wordpress plugin that i have created. The plugin lists details of fixtures and results for a football team and it allows me to view, enter or modify entries in a database. The plugin is already activated and shows up in the Wordpress admin sidebar and also lists the relevant subpages associated with the plugin.
The main page of the plugin displays a blank ‘admin page’ as I haven’t thought what to include on this page yet and the subpages have been set up to show ‘fixtures’ and ‘results’ and ‘teams’ tabs.
When I click on a sub page (i.e teams) it displays the results for that table which are listed in the database. On each sub page I have only chosen to display a few columns from the database table and the option is there that if I click on an ‘amend’ link a new page is opened which shows the full entry for that particular record from the database. I have created a form using PHP which displays the record in the database and I have also tried to incorporate some coding so that when I press ‘submit’ it is meant to update the record although for some reason I have been unable to get it to work. The coding I have used works on another site I manage but for some reason I cannot get it to work on this despite amending all the relevant bits of information.
Modifications need to be made to the plugin as follows:
1) Change the coding so that only an administrator can use the plugin. At the moment the plugin shows when a simple user is logged in
2) Change the coding so that the main admin page isn't displayed as a sub page when you use the plugin (see file page_admin.jpg). You will see from the attached file that the tab ‘Fixtures / Results’ displays below the main header (Fixures / Results) when it shouldn’t show
3) Modify the coding so that when modifications are made to an entry in the ‘amend’ page that it updates the database entry accordingly. Once the record has been updated then the page should be coded so that it redirects back to the subpage i.e teams
4) Modify the coding so that the additional pages that i have added in the plugin open in the main Wordpress admin page. At the moment the 'amend' page is opening in a new page and isn’t displayed to the right of the admin control panel (see file page_amend.jpg).
Although I have set a budget of GBP 50 I hope to get this work done for less as I have tried to do as much work as possible and hopefully it will only take a couple of hours work to make the changes.
