Modify our existing web site link profile

IMPORTANT NOTE: we are not seeking an SEO agency; we already have relationships with two agencies we are happy with. Any offers from SEO companies will not get a response.

We are seeking a freelance individual who has a working knowledge of how links work and why a well shaped link profile is important to Google. Our site has a decnt number of links, but about 20% are poor quality from directory sites or link sites that Google now ignores or actively penalises. This is affecting our listing and needs to be changed.
The work involves identifying the 30 or so poor links and contacting the webmasters of these pages to get the links removed. It's not glamorous, but we'll pay a rate for someone who wants to work hard at this.
If you are interested, we need assurance you understand what you are doing and you have some knowledge of link profiling. We would expect the work to consist of three phases:
1. Identifying the offending sites (10 - 12 hours)
2. Identifying contacts and issuing first requests (10 - 12 hours)
3. Issuing up to three further follow up requests (8 - 10 hours)
We would therefore expect to be billed between £400 - £500 for your time.
