Modify Java web application

General information for the business: General trading company.
Kind of development: Customization of existing program
Description of every module: My company bought the remains of a competitor who went out of business.
As part of the competitor's assets, we acquired their software.
Unfortunately, the license to their software is tied to their company and obsolete hardware.
Thereby making the license effectively useless to us.
We have contacted the software vendor for a solution.
Regrettably, this platform-specific version of their software went End-Of-Life.
Their new software is cloud-based and way out of our budget.
Nonetheless, we have decided to pursue our efforts to integrate their software with ours.
The application is built in Java/J2EE and runs in Apache Tomcat.
Therefore, I am looking for an experienced Java/J2EE programmer who is able to:
-1- deactivate the restrictions imposed by the default license,
-2- work from compiled Java classes to complete the task.
I am looking for the right individual who has practical experience in programming and debugging Java/J2EE web applications, and is comfortable with working from compiled Java classes.
Description of requirements/functionality: I prepared a detailed project description for the right candidate.
Specific technologies required: Java Tomcat J2EE Struts Spring Hibernate JDBC MySQL XML Web-services
