Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
To work with the Marketing Partner Client Representatives to deliver a
smooth and effective bus operations system to Olympic clients. This is a
fantastic opportunity to work with a number of high profile brands to manage
their bus operations around London during the Olympic Games from hotels,
Olympic venues, airports and other points of interest. You will be
responsible for the smooth ingress and egress of selected vehicles, managing load zones, coordinating with drivers and making sure guests receive a world class service as they move around their planned route. Vehicles will befollowing a predetermined schedule and you will support the transport function to deliver it. Although the role requires a high level of customer service and ability to organise efficiently under pressure, you will not be asked to make key decisions and you will be supported at all time by a wider team and escalation procedures will be in place should situations occur that you cannot resolve alone.
The Olympics is the biggest sporting event in the world and as such requires a certain amount of dedication and commitment from all staff to ensure it functions correctly. As such, you will be expected to work long hours weekends.
You must be based in, and have an excellent working knowledge of London and its transport systems and previous sporting event experience is preferential but not essential.
Dates: from 15/07/12 to 15/07/12
Daily rate: £140 paid by-weekly
