Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
General information for the business: We deliver alternative walking tours, including tours of the London Underground. We sell most of our products through our website
Industry: Lifestyle/Travel
Data to include: I'm looking for someone to supply useful information that can be used in an infographic for the tube. You do not need to create the infographic itself, our designer will do that.
We need someone to uncover facts on the London Underground that can be well represented visually. The trick is to have facts that can be compared, ie info that can be presented as a chart, rather than a one-off fact. Please also make a suggestion for how it could be represented.
Some ideas we've had include:
– The length of the lines (display them as a bar chart)
– That only 10% of the tube is in south London (could also display this as a little bar chart)
– When the lines were opened (display the name next to a face that represents a person of a certain age)
– cost per journey or per mile, in today's money, from when it started through to now
– how number of passengers per year has increased over the years
All of the facts you uncover will need to be accompanied by information about the reliable source that they came from (eg a national newspaper or established blog). If it's from an online source, please give the URL.
When you respond to this email, please tell me some additional ideas you've had to this list, and how many concepts you'll be able to research and produce for the listed fee.
