QuickPlay Sport are a manufacturer of sporting equipment based in the UK, providing fully portable goals and rebounders that can be used in different sports.
As the company aim to increase its presence within different markets, an opportunity has been made available for some casual/freelance work to be undertaken as a market researcher. The market that the company would like to research in depth is Italy. Please find the briefing below for the tasks to be carried out.
Quickplay Sport would like a report to be compiled in English focussed on the following areas:
• Firstly identify who are the major online retailers of sports equipment and sports goods in Italy (ideally those who already sell portable football goals)? This could take the form initially of Google research and internet searches.
• Identify the major ‘brick and mortar’ retailers (non-online retailers)? This will be more difficult to research than online retailers and may involve you phoning companies, seeking advice from friends of retailers etc.
• Contact a number of major online retailers to ask if they mainly sell their products to individuals or to institutions
• Identify who are the main competitors to Quickplay’s products in Italy currently? Who manufactures the most popular related products and if possible which pricing brackets do these fall under? These would be manufacturers of foldable football goals and rebounders (please visit www.quickplaysport.com) for an idea of which products we sell.
• Identify who are the main suppliers of sports equipment for schools in Italy?
