Description
The file that I will give you will have several fields that you can use to do the search/crawl:
- Full Name
- First Name
- Likely Nickname that might be used (Matthew > Matt)
- Last Name
- First (or primary) word of the Firm they work for or might have worked for previously (K&L Gates > Gates)
- Search Term (Full Name + Firm Word)
- Law School Attended
In addition, there will be two fields which are attached to every row that aren't useful for searching but will however need to be maintained with the data (Top200, ID).
My suggestion for doing the scrape is to enter the "search" term field (Full name + Firm Word) into the LinkedIn search bar and wait to see if an autocomplete result populates. If it does, simply check to make sure that the firm word appears in the firm part of the autocomplete result (it is important that the firm word appear in the firm section, not the name section - this is how we minimize false positives for people and firms with common names). If it does, save the destination URL of that autocomplete result to the file. There is no need to match the name against the result as LinkedIn's algorithm already does that and the populated name in the autocomplete may not match to the search term being used for various reasons (maiden name, last initial only, nickname, etc..).
If no autocomplete result populates, enter a new search term by combining (Full Name + Law School + "Law") and submit the result this time instead of waiting for the autocomplete. If any profiles show up in the search results, check the first two results for a "Law School" name match in the "Education" byline of the search result. Also check the role/title section of the search result for any of the following keywords (Associate, Lawyer, Attorney, Counsel, Member, Partner, Shareholder, Legal). Again, no need to match the name as it might differ greatly from the name I have in the file due to maiden name, nickname, only last initial - and LinkedIn already does the matching for those cases which is why anything populates at all in the search results.
If a profile matches that criteria, save the destination URL of the profile to the output.
If no profile matches for Part 1 (autocomplete) or Part 2 (Name + Lawschool search), then simply save "N/A".
I need this file to be completed fairly quickly - less than 4 days - so if you take on this task, you must already be very familiar with scraping LinkedIn and also have several dummy accounts that you use for these purposes. Otherwise, LinkedIn's daily limits will stop you after several hundred searches. Waiting for the daily limit to reset for a single account will cause this process to go very slowly and I need this file completely matched to LinkedIn profile URLs within 4 days entirely.
Please do not apply if you are not familiar with whichever methods can be used to match 25K profiles to their LinkedIn URLs in that timeframe. If you can contract it out to be done manually by many people simultaneously, I am fine with that option as well. I leave the methodology up to you however the timeframe (4 days) is not flexible and payment will not be made if the entire file can not be processed within that window.
The only data point which I need as output for this process (along with all the input fields which I will provide in my file) is the LinkedIn profile URL - that is all.
Please apply with any questions you may have. I am looking to screen through proposals all day and will make my hire by end of day on Friday, Central European Time.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and your proposals.
A sample of the total file that I will provide is attached as CSV.
Cheers.

How about those leads whose company name you provided is a past employer?

Hi,
I have access to Linkedin sales navigator, and would be able to do this no problem.
However your timescale and budget doesn't add up. Even if it only took 30 seconds for each of the 25,000 to be searched and you provided a link this would take 208 hours, which is almost 9 days without sleeping or a break. And the hourly rate is less than $1 per hour.Mark M.29 Apr 2019Thanks for your message and I appreciate your concerns however I'm ultimately not looking for someone to do this manually. I'm looking for someone that has an existing professional system in place that can quickly manage this process at scale using either numerous simultaneous LinkedIn accounts and automation or numerous manual workers who are extremely efficient and the work is batched into an existing process that mitigates hourly cost.

Can you invite me?

May I know if your budget is fixed or you can make it higher? We can finish your project within 4 days as well we are a team with 13 professionals but your budget is really low for this.
Mark M.25 Apr 2019The budget is flexible if I feel assured that the work will be done properly and accurately. Feel free to submit a proposal with your suggested budget and I will consider it. Thank you.
