To carry out detailed consumer research project on a UK retailer
This is for a University project and need you help
We will be here to support you on your research and answer any queries
identifying why “Deep personalisation” of the customer relationship is important for retail brands and in particular your selected brand. Utilising Acorn’s portal you will complete the following:
• Identify the typical demographic attributes of your retailer linking to a consumer group/type using the Acorn dashboard, descriptions, visuals and data profiles
• Describe the lifestyle choices and behaviours they exhibit
• Provide an overview of their media and technology preferences. Apply this to how your retailer or brand would best market to them and influence their purchasing behaviour
• Provide a comparative analysis of the types of products they are likely to need, want or aspire to have (in addition to your selected retailer)
• Identify brands and retailers that a typical consumer of this type would be more likely to engage with (in addition to your selected retailer) Include food, clothing, electrical, household and FMCG brands in this section.
• Identify a typical location where you believe this Acorn Group actually lives, and suggest where they may do their offline shopping
• Think of actionable things that a retail brand can do using a deeper knowledge of its customers to increase engagement, and ultimately sales
In addition to the report you will submit a detailed research folder incorporating all of the workshop tasks alongside your own primary/secondary research. You will utilise the material
from the Acorn website as required. You will prepare a detailed consumer profile/persona for your chosen retailer and clearly identify the consumer segment that best suits them. This will need to incorporate text, imagery and analytical data to convey all incorporated within your previous workshop tasks set.
