Experience Level: Intermediate
The MyLocalGov mobile app is coming soon to iPhone, Android and Windows Phone. It will help local authorities connect with their community.
Users of the app can select their local authority to view upcoming events, the latest local news, things to do in the area and information about their Councillors. They can also report things like fly tipping, abandoned vehicles, litter and more.
We are looking for someone to contact local authorities in the UK (by email and phone) and find a maximum of 10 to sign up to MyLocalGov for FREE. The only requirement is the council needs to have someone who can add their content to the MyLocalGov app through the simple web-based control panel.
In addition to the fixed price we will pay you an extra £10 per council that signs up, up to a maximum of £100 for the 10 councils.
You'll be asking the councils to sign up to our Early Adopter Programme.
The first 10 councils to sign up to the service will be offered MyLocalGov FREE for 12 months, and there's no obligation to continue using it after that time.
This job is for you if you have a telemarketing and sales background, and experience in dealing with local authorities is ideal. We would like to have at least 1 council signed up before the end of April so we can submit the app to the Apple, Google and Microsoft app stores. We would prefer more councils (preferably all 10) set up by the end of May.
