OBJECTIVE
To determine the buying procedure for approximately 50 fashion shops so that we can sell to them in the most efficient way (a list of shops will be provided)
We suspect they may be buying through fashion sales rooms, if this is correct we need to short list the sales rooms, so we know which ones to approach.
It is MISSION CRITICAL that we determine the best way to sell an emerging fashion brand to these established businesses.
TIME FRAME
As soon as possible
HOW TO APPROACH THEM
At this stage we wish this to be anonymous, so you will be approaching them as a telephone survey in the name of your own marketing company.
QUESTIONS
We would like to get the following questions answered, (we are open to suggestions if you think they can be improved) We appreciate it may not be possible to achieve this 100% but it’s a starting point.
1 . Where are they buying from :-
a. Fashion sales rooms (and if so which ones)
b. Trade shows (and if so which ones)
c. Directly from the designers
d. Elsewhere?
2 Are they buying new and emerging brands or are they looking for established brands.
3) If they are buying new and emerging brands where would they look to find them?
4) What are their best-selling items for womenswear
5). How are they looking at expanding/developing their current range and markets
6) What are their price points for womens:-
• Evening wear
• Casual wear
• Contemporary
• Accessories (scarfs)
7) What mark-up are they seeking?
8) Who is the womenswear buyer (name) + contact details
