Business Development Manager -Construction

We are a London-based main contractor specialising in residential refurbishment, extensions, loft conversions, structural works and Design & Build projects.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional to help us build relationships with architects, interior designers, designers, consultants and other relevant property professionals, with the aim of generating genuine tender opportunities and new projects.

Important: Applicants must currently live in the United Kingdom. We are only considering UK-based candidates.

The main part of the role is telephone-based business development. We are specifically looking for someone who is confident speaking directly with architects, designers and decision-makers, getting through gatekeepers, introducing our company properly and developing long-term professional relationships.

This is not mainly an email or general marketing role. Email is used as follow-up, but the key part of the work is direct telephone communication.

The role is initially around 4–6 hours per week, normally during weekday mornings, with the possibility of increasing the hours if the role develops well and produces results.

Experience in construction, architecture, interior design, property or related professional services is preferred. Candidates who already have experience working with architects, designers, consultants, contractors or private residential clients will be given priority.

Existing relevant contacts or an established professional network in these sectors would also be an advantage.

Payment:
Hourly rate depending on experience, plus a performance-based commission.
