Freelance local Social Media and Online Community Manager
(1 day a week)
The Local Online Community Manager will advise and implement Manfrotto's Online Community Strategy in local markets, managing engagement and interactivity with its audience, and fostering community spirit.
This role co-ordinates with the local internal Editorial and Marketing teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in tone of voice and cultivating a strong community around the brand.
This role is managed centrally by the Story Localisation team, and may be represented on a global editorial board by both the Manfrotto local market team and the Story Localisation team.
Responsibilities
• Research and advise on local online community strategy, ensuring it fits seamlessly with the global (and regional) community strategy, as determined by the global editorial board.
• Help to implement the online community strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the Company to ensure its effectiveness and providing superior quality of customer service and support to our community with the help of various communication tools
• Advise on relevant local platforms and work with the local Product development team to ensure the community platforms (forums, blogs, moderation tools) are kept up to date and functional
• Advise and influence local (and global) strategy by collating user feedback
• Generate compelling editorial content and manage a schedule of webchats and competitions for the site communities to engage with, and lead them into contributing their own high quality submissions across the entire suite of tools available
• Moderate all User Generated Content according to the Moderation policy, liaising with the Legal team where required
• Manage communities located in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar social media outposts
• Act as an advocate of the Company in the brand’s community and as the advocate of the community within the Company, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
• Ensuring return of lapsed readers through the judicious use of regular system mass emails and producing a regular community newsletters and editorial
• Regularly feed back insights gained from community monitoring into the Marketing and Editorial teams, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion
• Monitor and feed back on trends in online community tools, trends and applications
Requirements
• In-country, native speaker
• Resident and native in the following countries USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, China, Hong Kong
• Web savvy, creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure, excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong project management or organisational skills
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of global and local online community platforms and their respective participants (Forums, Blogs, Photo Uploads, Profiling etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
• Full knowledge of Manfrotto: industry, brand, philosophy and objectives
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
• Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
• Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
• Have a good knowledge of principles of customer service
• Editorial, Marketing or Customer Service experience
Local Social Media manager
The Local Social Media Manager will implement Manfrotto's Social Media Strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging product adoption.
This role coordinates with the local and central internal Marketing and PR teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a social media referral network.
This role is managed centrally by the Story Localisation team, and may be represented on a global editorial board by both the Manfrotto local market team and the Story Localisation team.
Responsibilities
• Implement the local social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the Company to ensure its effectiveness and encouraging adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the company’s products and services
• Work with the Product development team to ensure social media tools are kept up to date
• Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, promotions, etc.
• Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed
• Become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
• Manage a Blogger outreach program and build an active brand ambassador network to spread the word about the Company
• Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
• Regularly feed back insights gained from social media monitoring into the Marketing and Editorial teams, to help them evolve their strategies in a timely fashion
• Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications
Requirements
• In-country, native speaker
• Resident in one of the following countries and speaking English plus the language spoken in the country:
• Berlin, Milan, London, Shanghai, Tokio, Hong Kong
• Strong project management or organisational skills
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
• Knowledge of blogging ecosystem relevant to the Company’s field
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
• Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
• Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
• Have a good knowledge of principles of SEO
• Public relations, Marketing, Sales, Community Management experience
