Exciting opportunity to set up the UK (and European) marketing dept of a consulting firm specialising in enterprise performance management applications. The industry has seen consolidation and globalisation, resulting step up in competition and complexity in the marketplace. There have been many new entrants including the global Service Integrators and larger Business Intelligence boutique firms. The company is going through a significant growth phase as it competes and leverages its experience, vision and ability to execute. We now need to put in place a formal, professional, best in class, marketing capability.
Our aim is to stand out positively, drive pipeline by increasing our presence in our space, build a strong relationship with SAP, become an obvious candidate for prospects. We need to be targetted, inspired, smart, different, effective.
The project is to set up this marketing capability and processes and start us going on our first UK campaign. Work will include all aspects from creating the strategy, setting up our marketing capability, executing the campaign while putting in processes to enable our staff to carry the work forward. It would also include organising some near term events.
We have a clear strategy and vision. We must use and leverage our corproate identity. We have an international presence and arguably the strongest ability to execute. Its a great story as we truely help large organisations transform the way they work to achieve their strategies.
The right person will leverage what we have while instilling a local strategy aligned to global strategy, marketing and communication processes, to enable us to manage the steady state going forward.
We need to consider the long term as well as immediate needs.
The right person will help us learn how to think about brand building and marketing and will have the ability to execute on that strategy.
You need to be an experienced all-rounder marketing professional having worked in an applications software (or relevant) space. SAP/ORACLE/IBM experience helpful as it is important to understand the dynamics and relationships between software vendors, their implementation partners, clients and prospects. Our clients are large organisations and house hold names across many sectors. You would be working for the Sales & Marketing Director and have demonstrate the abiliy to create an effective marketing department for the Director to run going forwards that \"punches above our weight\". The day to day work can be done from home but you would need to be able to meet and collaborate regularly in central London.
The right candidate will help us determine the length of this engagement. Rates to be discussed.
