Description
Experience Level: Expert
We're looking for an experienced UK PR freelancer to secure genuine earned editorial coverage for Capsafa (capsafa.com), a newly launched UK platform that helps people organise their financial, asset and life information.
This is not press-release distribution, sponsored content, guest posts or link building. We want someone who personally pitches journalists and gets stories published in UK national and consumer media.
What you'll be working with:
We've commissioned a substantial OnePoll consumer survey with original data on wills, financial organisation, couples, families, age and gender — including some striking differences between men and women, and between age groups, on having a will and keeping financial information in order. There are multiple story angles in it, plus ongoing founder commentary and reactive opportunities.
What you'll do
Pull the strongest angles from the research and develop them into separate stories, pitch them directly to relevant journalists and editors, build relationships with personal finance, consumer, money and family/lifestyle desks, spot reactive commentary opportunities, handle journalist enquiries through to publication, and advise on future research likely to land coverage.
Priority targets: The Telegraph, The Times, Daily Mail / This is Money, The Guardian, Express, Mirror, Independent, Metro and their online platforms, plus relevant personal-finance and consumer titles.
To apply, please include
- Three to five examples of UK editorial coverage you personally secured (links where possible, and your role).
- The areas of UK media where you currently have journalist relationships.
- Three story angles you can immediately see for Capsafa.
- Your hourly rate and roughly how many hours a month you'd suggest to start.
Terms
Paid hourly — indicative £35–£50/hour depending on experience and track record. Initial 3-month engagement, ongoing if delivered on plan. Open to independent consultants and senior ex-agency PRs now freelancing. Only apply if you have direct UK media relations experience.
