Commission only sales agents required to help sell advertising space in a new community magazine based in Cheadle, Cheshire. This can be done by telephone or face to face as long as we get the required amount of advertising to enable the magazine to be printed each month. Payment will be made once payment has been received from the clients. The magazine is designed to help promote businesses and services in the SK8 area of Stockport and will be distributed to residents in these areas. A5 glossy magazine with lots of local content. Please see detail below which has been sent to some local companies:
"Needful Things is your new independent community magazine and directory of local businesses. It will be delivered FREE through your letterboxes every month from February 2009 and will also be available from many local newsagents.
The purpose of this magazine is to serve the residents of Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Gatley and Heald Green and to support you, the local businesses that operate within or close to these communities. Studies show that people like to “buy on their doorstep” whenever they can, and now they will have a free reference guide to enable them to do just that.
We live in a wonderful area • and part of its appeal is that there is character and individuality here. Many of you are probably familiar with parish magazines or community newsletters. In this case however, whilst I am happy to include articles of local interest, there is no underlying message other than please support local businesses’. The magazine’s purpose is to promote the trades, businesses and services that are based in or close to the villages mentioned above.
To make it generally useful as a local guide, it does contain day to day information: school holiday dates; useful telephone numbers; a section on clubs, groups, societies and classes and you can find an index of advertisers just next to the back cover.
Finally, if you own a business in the area, then you should be advertising. It’s really good value • I don’t even charge VAT! Rates start at just £55 for a 1/4 page ad (please contact us for further rates)."
