Experience Level: Intermediate
Water supply project where we have multiple water wells. Each well has water chemistry data and some physical parameters obtained over the past 10 to 20 years. Analyses and sample dates can be very different. Would like statistical exploration of the data (such as PCA/factor analysis) to look for correlations and trends, then we will look at a few important chemicals of concern for water quality (such as nitrate and arsenic) to determine if there are predictable trends and the trend statistics.
We also have spatial data, specifically land uses and distances between wells, that may also provide addtional information to support the prediction of water quality trends.
Some work will be required to organize the data (currently in Excel). Ability to work in python/anaconda helpful as we may want to take the statistics and run Monte Carlo simulations for a different3aspect of the project. If possible would like to provide excel files to be read into python script using xlwings, have simulaitond done in python, then output into excel format.
