We\'re a small British business established in July 2009.
We retail our 2 new invention products on our websites. Both products are general household storage products. We have not done any other marketing activities outside of organic google UK listing and all our retail sales come via our google page 1 listing.
For one of the products, we did some PR last year after its launch but we stopped all PR activities at the beginning of this year as it was costing too much and we weren\'t getting the results we expected.
In short, our past marketing efforts were ill conceived and haphazardly applied. We\'re now looking to correct this by starting the process from scratch and coming up with a strategy that will generate much needed revenue.
We\'re looking for suitable freelancers to work with us on the following:
1a. To discover who our “willing” customers are; “willing” customers being people looking to buy shoe storage or jewellery storage AND will buy our products (these type of people currently buy from our website and we need to find more from other sources)
1b. To find “conventional” and “creative” ways to reach AND convert them
1c. To come up with the right message about our product benefits that will address this group of people. The message must stimulate desirability and an urgency to buy
2a. To discover who our “latent” customers are; “latent” customers being people who need shoe storage or jewellery storage, not actively looking to buy BUT will buy our products if they see it
2b. To find “conventional” and “creative” ways to reach AND convert them
2c. To come up with the right message about our product benefits that will address this group of people. The message must stimulate desirability and an urgency to buy
3. To improve both our websites’ conversion rates which is about 1.5% for one site and 0.2% for the other. We have google analytics reports for analysis of our past performance
We currently receive about 150 unique visitors to one website daily and about 50 visitors to the other website at off-peak times and 200 visitors at peak times like Xmas time and Mother’s day
Our aim is to increase conversion rates to at least 5% for both
I would ideally like to work with someone who can tackle all 3 points together in this project and I’m looking forward to bids from qualified persons.
The ideal person will have substantial marketing experience with quantifiable results. They must also be able to come up with creative marketing ideas which both our products need.
