We are looking for a few key individuals who can build relationships and sell to a large variety of businesses with the ability to earn future advancement to advertising sales management. The ideal candidate is honest, goal driven and hard working.
This Independent Contractor opportunity is focused around selling advertising for the Carolina Purple Pages, the LGBT friendly City Guide and Business Directory that covers several metro areas across both North and South Carolina.
Sales Territories Open:
We are seeking sales professionals to immediately cover the following territories and their surrounding areas:
ï‚§ Charlotte, NC
ï‚§ Raleigh, NC
ï‚§ Durham, NC
ï‚§ Chapel Hill, NC
ï‚§ Asheville, NC
ï‚§ Columbia, SC
Advertising experience (other corporate sales industries will be highly considered) is a big plus but not necessary. What is necessary is the desire to work hard, learn and keep your customers satisfied by providing them quality service.
Candidates must be well organized and own a computer with reliable internet access. Contractors will also need an unlimited minute cell phone plan or land-line telephone plan and a reliable vehicle. This position allows you to work flexible hours from your own location. Because of the immense freedom this working condition offers, candidates must be self disciplined in order to be highly successful.
To be successful, you’ll need:
ï‚§ Minimum 18 month’s sales experience
ï‚§ Prospecting skills • high level cold calling to qualify new accounts
ï‚§ Ability to communicate with business owners and decision makers in face-to-face appointments
ï‚§ Superb verbal and written communication skills
ï‚§ High energy, results driven attitude
ï‚§ Ability to self-motivate
ï‚§ PC proficiency
ï‚§ Strong attention to detail
ï‚§ Passion for and knowledge of the LGBT community
Salespersons must also be able to prepare proposals and presentations for customers, manage their own advertising accounts and sales process, participate in regular sales meetings and manage paperwork and reporting.
