Introduction
My company is called Natural Piano (www.naturalpiano.global) and I create video tutorials on how to play songs on the piano.
My mission is to get more people playing the piano or keyboard for relaxation, for the challenge and sense of achievement of learning a new skill or just to be able to play their favourite pieces to friends and family.
My business model is to sell subscriptions to access all the tutorials on the website and I market the first part of all the tutorials I do on my YouTube channel.
My site went live in January this year and I now have a total of 30 songs and pieces on the site – mostly pop with some classical, film and musicals. I add a new tutorial each week.
In addition to the YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/NaturalPiano) I have a Facebook page, a Twitter feed (https://twitter.com/NaturalPiano1 ) and an Instagram account
Brief
I now want to accelerate the growth in subscribers by improving the effectiveness of the marketing of my site and service. This improvement needs to happen in the space of weeks not months.
Specific activities in 2 parts:
1. To analyse my website conversion and tell me how to improve it.
2. Create a comprehensive marketing strategy for the business that will drive more traffic to the website and assist in the implementation of that strategy and help review of its effectiveness
Some of the key questions I am currently trying to address are:
- what are the basics I need to be getting right to unlock the flow of potential customers to the site and to then at the least take up the free trial?
- Who is my customer? Am I targeting the right audiences? I have in mind people who are returning to the piano, or who never took it up, in mid life because they want to be able to play a few songs on the piano. Maybe the demand for that which I thought I had identified through my research isn't as strong. Maybe I need to be targeting younger people (with then the implication for types of songs I cover in the tutorials and possibly the language used on the site)
- is the charging model correct? Should it instead be one off purchases rather than subscriptions?
I look forward to receiving your proposal.
