    I looked at the Index pages of the books - we are looking at 600-650 pgs of reading.

    I don't know whether the work is 2 applications for each award or 1 for each. It would take 2-3 hours I'd suggest in total Tristan to craft the right words, including interaction between us to get to a final application, for each award. I'd say about $25-30 per hour would be appropriate.

    The books may need to be at least skimmed through - it's not my primary area of business area although I do know broadly about the subject matter having worked on a few project teams. I can keep the reading ph fee much lower but it's not really my idea of a holiday read and so would have to charge a little extra for the time to do this. I'd suggest $10-$15 to read these, you may need to assess with me how many hours are appropriate for this.

    I can get started with this ASAP as just delivered my most recent batch of work this morning.

    Hi Francis,

    It is 1 award per book at this point:

    ASQ Crosby Medal: The Process Improvement Handbook
    Shingo Award: The Basics of Process Improvement

    I am just waiting on one last confirmation from ASQ so we can start with the Shingo nomination. To read this 200 pager, Id say 3 hour should do the trick and then how many hours you think to fill it out. How do we proceed from here?

    I'd say that leave us with 3 hours under the reading rate and say 2.5 hours to draft the first application and debate it/refine it and finish it.

    If I offer you a proposal on that basis, you agree it, and you put the required monies in Escrow (these are not released to me until the work is complete and I invoice you asking you to release it) , then we are in business. Should I proceed on that basis Tristan?

    2-3 pages a piece. Ultimately, they are 3-5 open ended questions a piece. Why this book, what are the main themes etc. I can give guidance, its then just answering them professionally and thoughtfully is all...

    I'd be happy to help you shape any initial thoughts and words that you have on how to complete the questions Tristan? This seems to be what would best suit your needs? It may take a bit longer if you feel that reading he books would be a good idea but it doesn't seem that this is necessary?
