Logo - theme "chain repair"

I am looking for a logo with impact to appear on my business cards. The concept is 'chain repair' as it is understood in the estate agency trade i.e. a series of interconnected property transactions will collapse unless someone steps in to take over one purchase where the intended purchaser either can't or won't proceed. I want the logo to feature a chain with a series of perhaps half a dozen metal links - plain metal (not like a bicycle chain thanks!), one of which in the middle of the chain has split at the top. A thumb and forefinger are pressing the ends of the link to give the impression of closing it back up. Maybe a whole link is also held between the crease in the thumb and the first crease in the finger. I'm not sure whether the chain should be taut - probably not, as it conveys an impression of 'struggling against the odds'. But it shouldn't be hanging under its own weight - too passive. Best probably arch-shaped, with the hand purposefully grasping the central broken link. Now, much as baking bread rolls is the true test of a cook's skill (because they're plain and simple and there's no place to hide like a sauce to mask the shortcomings), so with this project I'm not looking for cartoons, caricatures, humorous or brightly-coloured work. The skill here will be in conveying the impression of confident repair, not desperate 'holding it together' - so a strong, male hand, but of a businessman, not a manual worker. No particular urgency. I expect revisions will be needed to hone the logo. Please specify formats you can supply.
