Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Aim
The aim of this project is to analyse the pattern of association between a dependent and three independent variables by means of a linear regression. The solution MUST be developed using STATA software ONLY.
Length: about 1.200/1.500 words (3 or 4 pages) plus tables and figures (if any).
Deadline: 23rd december?
I have a question I need answered from the data. These data are from the European Social Survey 2010 for Greece and explores a topical issue: Satisfaction with how democracy works in the country. Apart from this dependent variable, the dataset contains five possible independent variables you may use chose to include in your analysis:
- self-positioning on the left-right scale
- gender
- years of education
- trust in political parties
- how complicated politics is perceived to be
By running the codebook/sum/tab commands you should get sufficient information on how these variables are constructed, but, if you have any questions, let me know. Naturally you are free to transform the content of these variables if you see fit (by gen, recode, replace and so on). Please make sure that you include the syntax of all commands used in the project work.
Again, the project must be completed using STATA software only. I estimate it is about 8 hours work.
