Landing page redesign

We need to design a template for a landing page that will work across 15 different sectors. I have attached a wireframe and a screengrab of how it currently looks.

Points to note as follows:

- Note: We are doing a piece of work on the navigation to remove the left hand side bar and put in a proper mega menu type navigation, but it’s unlikely this will be complete within the next 2 months as there is a lot of research to be done first
- For examples of how our news comes out, you can check out the Homepage or the news section. The same applies to videos. I am happy to run you through these separately anyway.
- For optimisation purposes, there is a lot of content that needs to go on the page. This is a challenge as with the left and right hand columns, we do not have much space. We need to look at methods of sorting this. Current options I can think of:
o Just have the titles showing and then use some type of slider so that they open up
o Have some intro copy at the top and then move the rest of the copy further down the page
o Just have less copy (less preferred option)

Some examples of what other people do are as follows:

ContactlensesExpress – It fits in well with the rest of the page and you can click each heading to reveal the individual paragraphs. Located half way down the page.


Ebuyer – located at the foot of the page – click the more button to reveal all the content

GPEG International – located at the bottom of the page under the further information tab – click and id displays the entire content.
