We are hosting an evening at a West End hotel on Wednesday 14th December. There will be a press conference for 30 minutes between 7-7.30pm. A number of the media have been invited to participate but we have had no confirmation that they will attend. We therefore decided to invite freelance journalists with connections to the media to attend and to present their work for publication.

London to host launch of International Initiative “Global 7 for Humanity Project", declaring 2012 "The Year for Human Respect"

On Wednesday 14 December 2011, the Global 7 Humanity Project will launch a yearlong international initiative of “The Year for Human Respect” with a press conference followed by an evening presentation at a West End venue.

The Global 7 for Humanity Project is based on The Seven Primary Laws, often referred to as the 7 Noahide Laws. The Seven Primary Laws are rooted in the very beginning of recorded history in the Biblical account of humankind’s creation. They apply to all of mankind, and they are understood to be basic pillars that ensure the moral, ethical, and structural basis of an optimum society.
The Noahide Laws are:
1. Belief in G-d
2. Respect G-d and Praise Him
3. Respect Human Life
4. Respect the Family
5. Respect Human Beings
6. Have a Judicial System
7. Respect All Creatures

The Year for Human Respect will encourage people across the world to commit to increase respect and honour for others and especially refraining from taking from others that which is not theirs – stealing (part of Law #5). The campaign will promote educational events in cities across Europe, North & South America, and Australia.

This will be the first time that these Noahide laws will have been brought on to centre stage and will be presented in such a manner. “Our world is experiencing a reconfiguration of every category of life we know – politics, the economy, our culture, the world of science, medicine, environmental concerns, what we eat and what we value”, explained London organiser Rabbi Chaim Yitzchok Cohen.

Change of this magnitude produces various responses and provokes many questions. We at the Global Seven Humanity Project are committed to optimizing these turbulent times, to deliver a better, more humane direction. We should seize what is best about this emerging new world and infuse it with what we know to be the eternal truths that have sustained existence from the very beginning.
