Description
Experience Level: Expert
I have had a project in the pipeline which is incomplete (by an unreliable developer). The core part of the project is a webapp which was deployed as a .war file via Tomcat/Apache handling on a VPS system, and of course written in Java.
Currently, the webapp itself has some errors and bugs that need fixing; it does work, but still needs some work. To break the down the tasks to give you further clarification of what is required:
1) Install Wordpress on the server so that all secondary/content pages can be created and maintained and served via Wordpress, but at the same time, allow the Java Web App which is handled by Tomcat to be accessed on the server at the root domain. e.g. www.domainname.com - this will load a homepage where the webapp will be featured, and if I go to www.domainnam.com/contentpage/ - this is handled by Wordpress.
Please note that the Java webapp and wordpress secondary content pages form one website, and are not standalone. Of course, working knowledge of Tomcat/Apache/VPS hosting setup will absolutely be required.
2) Fix all the bugs and errors of the java webapp so that it works properly (this is a search function which calls an API)
3) Apply design which will be provided via psd/png to be requested properly.
Who I'm looking for:
1) Someone who actually knows what they are doing - and is not learning as they go.
2) Someone who is reliable, has excellent feedback, solid experience and is very competent.
3)Experienced with both coding in Java/JSP/PHP but also knows how to configure the VPS Hosting (which has CentOS Linux installed + Tomcat/Apache with WHM interface) to load the website properly, and setup Tomcat/Apache to handle the requests properly (i.e. Apache frontend for Wordpress, and route webapp requests to Tomcat)
This is a fixed priced project, which, with each task completed, you will receive milestone payments, with the possibility of a nice bonus.
