Java code needed to generate thumbnail images

Java source code is required to generate thumbnail images from .PES embroidery files.

Purpose:
The code should read in a flat file and generate a BufferedImage object.
I will be calling this code from a Java Swing application.

The code should compile against Java 1.5+.

Note: There is a link to some C# code which you may be able to port.
