JAVA based PDF viewer to be integrated in mind mapping software

We want a Java PDF reader integrated into our open source software Docear. Docear is a mind mapping software for researchers (www.docear.org) and we want the PDF reader to be able to 1) display PDFs and 2) allow the user to create bookmarks, comments and highlight text. In addition, the PDF reader must be able to open a PDF on a certain position where a bookmark/comment/highlighted text points to.

And let us know how long you would approximately need to complete the project. Please also let us know which PDF library you would use to realize the project.
