Description
Experience Level: Expert
Required Skills:
Experienced iOS and Mac OS x developer to provide cross over training in 'objective C', common framework(s) (Cocoa etc) and the xcode IDE to our 2 in house developers. (One with a background in OOP .net techs, the other in procedural PL1 mainframe development.)
Required outcomes:
Our developers should finish the week comfortable with xCode IDE (Debug, Context Help, Testing etc), becoming increasingly comfortable with objective-C including compliant object implementation & basic knowledge of Mac, iPhone & iPad frameworks. The training will be in the context of mini projects yielding a set of very simple applications leveraging popular frameworks for Mac, iPhone, iPad.
General:
Previous experience in cross training desirable but not essential.
However, you need to be an effective communicator as you will be guiding and mentoring our developers through the training tasks.
This is a good opportunity to flex your intellectual muscle in a context devoid of poorly specified code requirements and endless debugging in a relatively flexible structure and a comfortable atmosphere with fellow professionals.
The work is 5 X 8 hour days on site in Brentwood Essex.
(So please no overseas nor remote working bids).
Ideally you will have used multiple languages and platforms in your own career (making it easier for you to draw relevant parallels for our developers) and have a provable development career history of 8+ years.
Available start dates....
Mon 13th August
Mon 20th August
Mon 27th August
This role has the potential to lead to more work developing Apps we need to release commercially or to interface with our current back end applications...
