IPad app development

We are looking to develop an iPad app which is for an augmented reality theatre/film show.

The audience member will sit in a fixed location in the space with the set. They will then use the iPad as a "window" to look at the performance. The app will use the camera on the reverse of the iPad to show the audience member what they are looking at with an overlay of the characters (in video format with an alpha channel) over the top of the image from the ipad's camera. The app will need to us the iPad's built-in motion sensors to move the video in sync with the audience member moving the iPad to create the illusion of the action augmenting reality. We would like the audience member to be able to view their entire 360 degree surroundings.

We would also like the audience member to be wearing headphones to hear sound from the video.

We would like to explore the possibility of the iPad creating an ad-hoc wireless network to connect to a live wireless video feed too.

The app must have the facility to be in a locked state so that the audience member cannot accidentally turn it off.
